In addition to serving on the school board, Scott is also an elected member of the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania, being the youngest to hold the office.Prior to running for office in 2008 at the age of 18, Scott has been active in politics for quite sometime. Beginning in 2005, Scott decided to establish the Pottsville Teenage Republicans, which would grow to become the Schuylkill County Teenage Republicans.
